Anybody else getting the same back order story in regards to there windshield ? I was told by Safelite that I might not be able to get my Wrangler windshield replaced until June, WTF ?
And when I called my local Jeep dealership they told me that they don't do glass , again WTF ?

Same. Quadratec has them for sale though in stock quantity is not listed and of course Safelite said they wouldn't do an install only. Turned me off on them even more.

Upon our travels, the car in front of us threw back a stone, cracking our windshield.. Insurance handled this.. The only thing the contractor did was the injection procedure which I hate and is right at a bad point when viewing.. it's not spreading.. but I'm going to keep my eye on this.

The Mopar windshield nation wide backorder is well documented no surprise considering how many wranglers are being made and how often they break windshields. As far as safelite not warranting a windshield they did not supply I can't blame them. If the windshield is faulty they eat it if they supply it they get credit from their supplier.

Get used to having new windshields put in. I'm on my 5th one with my 2012. Problem is, they are a flat piece of glass that takes every rock square on. Most windshield glass is curved and can deflect the rocks at an angle.
I have been using this site for my glass replacement and have had great results. My deductable for glass is $100, but they will cut that in half if you ask. www.windshieldguru.com
