Default Drag Link

I've found I've got some play in the Ball joints so I'm replacing them with some aftermarket Ball Joints. I also have some play in the drag link. I'm having trouble finding a new one on the catalog sites of the major vendors. Some times they refer to them as Tie rod drag links or just a tie rod. I thought the drag link went from the Pitman arm to the passenger side wheel and the tie rod went from wheel to wheel. Does anyone have a suggestion of a quality aftermarket drag link? I wheel my jeep occasionally as it is my daily driver also. I've got 35 inch tires mounted on 10 x 15 rims and have recently had a bit of death wobble. I'm hoping that the new parts will correct this and tighten up the front end.

Poly (Synergy) makes a nice sturdy drag link. A big improvement over stock.

I've noticed some front end components go by a few similar but different names. In the JK write up section of the forum, Planman's write up (the first in this section) has a good picture of labelled and color coded front end components. I made a color copy and compared it to my stock front end so I could refer to the correct name.

One word,"Synergy". The best. And only $200. You'll never have to replace it again.

Good info here thanks I was wondering this myself. Is the Synergy kit a straight forward install?

And one newbie question....advantage of the flip kit install vs installing this in the OEM configuration

Flip kit just have to drill out RH knuckle to 13/16 an put in the tapered insert. Then install the track bar bracket and adjust your axle center.

If you are not flipping the drag link. Install is pretty straight forward. Bolts right up.

When you lift your jeep more than 3 inches, the angles are changed on the track bar and drag link. The bracket that comes with the kit raises the track bar back up to what the angle is supposed to be (when stock) and flipping the drag link to the top of the knuckle raises the drag link as well, usually 3" each.

Which gets rid of bump steer, wandering, and less stress on the drag link joints as well.
