Here's something to chew on...
I first got 18" Duratracs and did not know that they only came with load rating E. They were a bit harsh on the road but good offroad. Eventually when I lifted I needed a different backspacing than the stock rim. Ran spacers for a while then I priced out 15" rims with correct backspacing and 33x12.5x15 Duratracs in Load rating C. Not only did I get the tires and new rims at the same cost as 18" tires only, I got rid of the spacers. So down the road, are you looking to lift? If so, this might cause you to at least think about what wheels you will need to end up with. The C rated tires are more appropriate for the weight of a JK, in my opinion. I have punctured even the E rated tire on a sharp rock, so nothing is puncture-proof.

I life in South Louisiana so not likely to be on sharp rocks, more likely wooded dirt trails, with some mud. and maybe some beach riding on rare occasions.

You lied, they rub
You can put those on with no lift and no rub at full turn. Now 35 and up yes you will rub without spacers and at least a 2" lift. Type of tire depends on location and your preference. I would also like to recommend reading the sticky "my thoughts on lifts". Go to "forums", jk wrangler then modified jeep. This will help you out too. Most important is figure out what you want to do with your jeep and build it the way you want it. Best wishes.

I have the 275/70-18 duratrac. Love them. I have no issue with rocks and puncture as I live on Long Island and my off-road is on beaches. Small rocks, but mostly sand.
As far as fit and rub, at time of tire install I have 1.5" rough country spacers (silver color to blend to rim) and teraflex leveling kit (1.5")
Has a nice stance, aggressive yet subtle. It rides nicely for my daily driver.
Also have Bilstein 5100 shocks all around.
Good luck you'll be happy.
Too many people talk about small rims for off road with extra sidewall height.
Most of the people on the forum are using as a daily driver and go off road in limited amounts.
Build for your purpose. Not looks. If you build for your needs, it'll look the way you want. That's what I learned awhile back right here on this forum.
