Duratrac 275/70R18 on Stock Sahara with OEM 18"????????
So I've tried to do so much research on if a Stock Sahara Unlimited will fit 33" Duratracs(275/70/18), but one forum says they fit no rub, one says they rub at full turn only, another says you have to get spacers, and yet another says you need at least a level kit...
So IF YOU HAVE HAD DURATRAC 275/70R18's on stock 18" tires;
What was your experience with rubbing issues?
How did you solve them?
And would you still recommend buying this size Duratrac tire?

You can put those on with no lift and no rub at full turn. Now 35 and up yes you will rub without spacers and at least a 2" lift. Type of tire depends on location and your preference. I would also like to recommend reading the sticky "my thoughts on lifts". Go to "forums", jk wrangler then modified jeep. This will help you out too. Most important is figure out what you want to do with your jeep and build it the way you want it. Best wishes.

I put 265X70X18 on mine and they rubbed on the drivers side sway bar but not passengers. I changed the sway bar to an ADDCO (Which was just a little narrower at the bends) and no more rubbing. You can always adjust the stop so full lock is not as far.

Here's something to chew on...
I first got 18" Duratracs and did not know that they only came with load rating E. They were a bit harsh on the road but good offroad. Eventually when I lifted I needed a different backspacing than the stock rim. Ran spacers for a while then I priced out 15" rims with correct backspacing and 33x12.5x15 Duratracs in Load rating C. Not only did I get the tires and new rims at the same cost as 18" tires only, I got rid of the spacers. So down the road, are you looking to lift? If so, this might cause you to at least think about what wheels you will need to end up with. The C rated tires are more appropriate for the weight of a JK, in my opinion. I have punctured even the E rated tire on a sharp rock, so nothing is puncture-proof.

The C rated 15" would be a much better tire all around except in high speed cornering. More comfortable ride on road and a much better footprint off road when aired down. Like stated before people running E rated tires for a stronger sidewall off road are kidding themselves. Any sidewall can be cut and most people out there are not crawling on stuff like this. I have not had an issue with "weak" C rated MTR/K tires.
