Is it possible for one person to take the hard top off a 4 door wrangler?

Seems as though the old thread has been blasted. 
I find it MUCH easier solo.
First time was with help and the other side let it down on the gate, chipping gate paint and putting a white nick in the top. <grrr>
As for storage, it's definitely best to have something approximately Jeep high. Putting it on the ground and lifting from there is the worst part.

I just removed my hardtop on my JKUR 2 weeks ago! It took me and my brother in law both on either side to remove it and get it over the Spare tire on the tail gate! I purchased the hardtop storage cart and clamps to hold the rear window closed so we could stand up the top correctly! I highly advise it be a 2 person job! Although it's not heavy it's just awkward!

Yes in can be done -ALONE. Three years in the running for me.
Build your hoist of choice, take your time plan it out.
This will test your pateince, and 'centre of ballance" The top is NOT heavy....1/2" either side of your centre line for pick up point....and you have a big black fibreglass gorila with a mind of it's own on your hands.
Oh, and don't forget to bunggie cord the rear window closed.

Until this thread, the only discussion I've seen here was by a guy who broke his trying.
For those of us who tow the Jeep to location behind a motorhome, it seems like one of those roof-top hoists on the motorhome would be great to have. People use them to hoist a spare tire or whatever to the top of the RV.

I'm 5'10" 205 lbs and bench around 325lbs, it's not the weight of the top that's the problem, it's the balance and awkwardness of maneuvering it. I've done it a couple times by myself and once I had my gf help me...so I've done it 3 times by myself...hahaha, not sure about a 4dr top though.
