This reminds me of the good ol' days while in the Marines. Sending the FNGs out to pick up some chemlight batteries or a new box of grid squares which was essential to have before any field op.

LMAO!! That's great. I was Air Force SF, and spent my time on the flight line. I was at Shaw and there were 4 squadrons of F-16's there. One of the pilots was really cool and let us in on the prank. There was a new crew chief and he sent him back to get the "keys" to his F16. Priceless!!!!

I sent a private to get some "grid squares" and some "black out drive" fluid for the humvee from the company maintenance guys, they sent him to battalion, battalion sent him to brigade. An hour later he came back and said "CSM Lockwood said were all out".
My favorite though was I had them pull a 5-ton dump into the maintenance bay and check the bed for "Soft spots" using a 5 pound sledge. You hit the bed with the hammer until you "hear" a soft spot and then mark it with a piece of chalk. The maintenance NCO loved me.
