Default Post Mounted Spot Light

Couldn't find an existing thread for this so if there is please forward my way. My question is has anyone mounted a post mount spot light through their dash....these are the police style ones that are adjustable from inside. A few different types out there, and it would be really nice to have the adjustability.

Thats the plan yea....Thats why I wish there was someone here who has done this haha. Seems like it's just the same as a windshield mount with the added benefit of being adjustable...and having to drill a hole.

I've done it on other vehicles, but not a Jeep.

There are remotely controlled lights out there that you could mount on the a-pillar, the winshield mount or the hood for that matter. The cheapest ones have a wired remote, the more expensive are wireless.

Check it out before drilling!

They are called GoLights http://www.magnalight.com/c-23-remote-spotlights.aspx

I like the windshield lights alot, but I'd like to have the functionality of highlighting specific obstacles offroad. I'll have to look but I'm thinking depending where you mount it there will be less obstruction from inside the cabin too.

I use them at work and they are awesome for lighting up anything you needs to see at night. They come factory in our cars.....I've thought about putting one on when I had my XJ as XJ's used to be "police package" so you could buy them...I looked at it for the purposes of my JK but don't think there is enough material on the windshield pillar to do it....if you end up doing it and it works I would probably copy you.
