Am I going to hurt the rear 2 tuck in flaps (above the break lights). They seem to catch a lot of wind, and makes me wonder if it is a bad idea to run in "safari mode" at 60+ mph

I have done it dozens of times with no issues. I know it gives an uneasy feeling, but I have gotten over it. That's my experience.

I have seen many people running like that here in SoCal and that's how I've been rolling and will be until my dirtydog shade gets here next week and the top comes off for good

As info, that's called the sail panel. I ran my 07 with no doors or windows for 2 years with no ill effects.

My rear tuck in flaps have untucked at 60+. No damage, they just flop around, so I prefer to fold the entire top down.

Mine seem to flap wildly at highway speed too! I don't know if its the half doors or what.

I wrap a bungie ball in the middle of the sail panels when I roll like that and it keeps it pretty tight.

as someone posted, they are called sail panels. Sometime in '08 they changed from all-sailcloth panels to a plastic-reinforced panel. if you have the "floppy" ones, you can roll them up and tuck them in.

I have the reinforced ones, they stay put for me. even with the sunrider open on the highway. I'll remember the bungee trick if they get sloppy.
