2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 Is First of 12 Monthly Special Edition Models to Come
Jeep’s 85th anniversary is kicking off with a bang thanks to the surprisingly affordable V8-powered 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392.
2026 is a special year for Jeep, marking that brand’s 85th anniversary – an enduring legacy, indeed. Thus, as one might expect, Jeep plans to throw itself a bit of an extended birthday party to celebrate – via what it calls Twelve 4 Twelve. Essentially, this means that we can expect to see a brand new special edition Jeep Wrangler model debut each month for the next year, supported by a marketing campaign dubbed “Operation Airdrop.” Now, the very first of that dozen has debuted, kicking off this year-long effort – the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392.
The 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 is obviously inspired by the brand’s 85-year history, as well as the 60th anniversary of the Easter Jeep Safari, all in one unique package. On the outside, it features some unique touches including a body-color hardtop, rock protection sill rails, molded-in-color fender flares, a cold-air intake hood with a water separator, and black tow hooks. Customers can opt for an optional 8,000-pound Warn winch, or the Sky One-Touch power top if they please, too.
Inside, the Wrangler Moab 392 is equipped with black, heated, Nappa leather-trimmed seating, the premium Alpine audio system, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, while all-weather floor mats can be added as an option.
The real story here, however, is what lies under the hood – the 6.4-liter V8, which churns out 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, breathing through a two-mode dual exhaust, just like the Rubicon 392. That power flows to the wheels via the eight-speed automatic transmission, along with 2.72:1 Selec-Trac full-time T-case and 4.56 gears. The Wrangler Moab rolls on 17-inch beadlock capable wheels, wrapped with 35-inch all-terrain tires.
The fact that the 2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 comes equipped with a V8 is obviously the big news here, but what’s particularly notable is that it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than the Rubicon 392, with a starting price tag of $79,995, not including the $1,995 destination fee. Considering the fact that the Rubicon 392 cost a whopping $99,995 (minus options), that makes the new Wrangler Moab 392 one heck of a bargain for those that have long coveted V8 power.
For them, the good news is, order banks are open now, but it wont’ be long before we’re treated to the next special edition Jeep Wrangler, which is due to arrive on December 12.
