Jeep ‘Bombshell Betty’ Rock Crawler Struts Her Stuff

By -

Just like a tried and true gym rat, there’s no such thing as too much lift. Lo and behold, the ultimate vintage off-road bruiser

Meet “Bombshell Betty.” She’s the work of the folks over at Rock Solid Off Road Fabrication and she’s a thing of beauty. It doesn’t look like there’s much she can’t handle and when you take a closer look, you can see she’s not just for show.

YouTuber Off Road N Chill found Betty sitting quietly in a parking lot and had a chance to video the details of this lifted Willys. It has just what you need to tackle the toughest of off-road trails — and the scrapes, dents and dings that cover everything from the body to the roll cage are proof.

There’s a Warn winch mounted to the front bumper for those times when Betty, or more likely some less capable vehicle, gets in over its head. She sits on big, off-road tires with bead locks to make sure things stay put when the rocks get rough. And a roll cage makes sure that when you get carried away you can still walk away.

Total Jeep Customization

The undercarriage shows off tons of customization from the shocks to the front axle. It’d be great to see Betty in action off-road, but sadly they didn’t take this beautiful green Jeep out onto the dirt. Though to be fair, the caked dirt on the tires shows that it may have been off-road just prior to the show and had a quick wash down.

Despite this, we do get to see the insane amount of axle articulation she’s capable of when they drive her up onto a trailer that pushes her wheels to their limits. It also gives you the chance to hear the the engine and that dual exhaust, so turn up your speakers to enjoy that for a minute.
