Casey Currie decided that his first TORC race for 2014 would be their finale at Crandon, and you couldn’t ask for a better track. Well, normally you couldn’t as Mother Nature decided that a huge rainstorm was needed that night. It forced the Pro classes to run on a single day with no qualifying. Not only that, but also there was a special guest aboard Casey’s Monster JK Wrangler.

Thanks to that rainstorm on Friday, qualifying was eliminated and the Pro Lite trucks were lined up according to points. Because Casey did not contend any TORC races in 2014 prior to Crandon, he would start at the back of the field on both races. Starting in 29th each time, Casey would work the field and the Big House to a pair of top-ten finishes: seventh in race one, and sixth in race two. “The crowd is getting bigger and bigger every year! I’m stoked to be back! 2015 we are coming again! I want to thank all of my friends, fans, family and partners for making each event awesome!”

That was not the only thing Casey was doing while racing around Crandon. A young fan had passed away not too long ago, and his dream was to take a ride around The Big House with Casey Currie. Well, Currie did so without knowledge of it by giving the ashes of the young fan a great top-ten run in each race. “I drove two solid races and had no clue he was with me. My mom didn’t want my focus off racing, so I didn’t get to find out till after. The family also worked it out with the track, so the announcer made it known while I was racing. Looking up to God, I hope you had an amazing time! We made over 45 passes and battled hard!”
