Hip-Hop Legend Missy Elliott Takes Jeep to the Moon

New music video for ‘Throw it Back’ features out-of-this-world Jeep Rubicon, and the best auto chariot we’ve ever seen.

Legendary hip hop artist Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott has been behind some of the most amazing music videos ever. As such, she is deservedly the recipient of the “Video Vanguard Award” from MTV on the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards, Monday August 26. Elliott is also a huge fan of all things automotive. In her latest video “Throw it Back,” she features an atomic Jeep Rubicon, as well as some other ingenious modes of transport.

Now, we know Elliott has always loved a Jeep. In her hit “The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)” she raps, “Beep beep, who’s got the keys the Jeep? V’room!” And in her 2005 video for “Lose Control” she featured a 2006 Jeep Commandeer.

But, like most aspects of her career, Elliott decided she had to take it to new heights. So, she eschewed roads and desert for moon dust. The video features Elliott planting her flag in space next to her moon ride, a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. Of course, the Jeep looks right at home on the moon. It is the ultimate way off-road adventure.

Earlier in the video, we also get the see the hip hop queen rightfully take her place as she is carried by chariot. And this is not just some old chariot, it is a chopped up custom car chariot. Likely a Caddy, of course. Nothing but the best.

It is definitely an inspired way to go. But we’ll happily stick with our Jeep. Either down here on Earth or in a galaxy far, far away.
