What a Jeep Pickup Could Look Like
Jeep pickups are some of the most loved and sought after Jeeps on the planet. However, it’s been quite some time since we’ve seen Jeep themselves build a true pickup for their new lineup of vehicles. Of course we have tuners and custom shops that will build you a Jeep pickup if you have enough cash, but a true Jeep pickup is still very much only in the aftermarket world. That however, might all be changing.
According to a few new comments made by Jeep’s CEO Mike Manley, he is still a fan of the idea of Jeep building a pickup once again. And judging by the one-off Jeep Red Rock Responder truck that they made for the Easter Jeep Safari this year, the company can definitely pull it off. Alas, according to his statements, we likely won’t even get a concept Jeep pickup until at least the new Wrangler debuts in 2018, since it will likely share the same underpinning architecture.
However, some intrepid Jeep lovers out there are keen on seeing what a new Jeep Grand Cherokee pickup would look like, so they took to photoshop to create such a thing. According to graphic designer Theophilus Chin, this is what the new Jeep Grand Cherokee pickup could look like, should Jeep decide to just pull the trigger already.
