Jeep Wrangler 85th Anniversary Pays Homage to the Off-Road Legend
The Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator 85th Anniversary models have debuted with loads of standard features and retro cues.
The 2026 model year is a special one for the Jeep brand, as it celebrates 85 years of existence – quite a feat in the automotive world, where many others have come and gone over the years. As such, Jeep is celebrating with its Twelve 4 Twelve series set to go on throughout the year, which involves the launch of a whopping one dozen new special edition variants, too. We’ve already been treated to two of those new variants – the Wrangler Moab 392 and the Wrangler Whitecap – and now, the third has arrived.
The third member of the Twelve 4 Twelve series is the Jeep Wrangler 85th Anniversary model, which is – as one might assume – designed specifically to pay homage to the brand’s enduring legacy. It combines some retro touches with plenty of new amenities, with a focus on plaid – that pattern adorns the seat inserts, along with accents along the instrument panel and mid bolster, coupled with a variety of special touches including 85th seat tags, a shifter medallion, a cupholder plaque, plus Berber floor and cargo mats.
On the outside, one will find unique 17-inch Steel Oxide-painted wheels, bronze tow hooks, Blue Agave 85th anniversary badges and decals, and body-color fender flares, giving the Jeep Wrangler 85th Anniversary a distinctive look. The variant also gets the Standard Convenience Group with heated front seats, heated steering wheel, remote start and keyless passive entry, along with a bevy of other standard features.
Those include the Alpine premium audio system, deep‑tint windows, Gorilla Glass windshield, heated mirrors, automatic headlamps, LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, LED fog lamps, and advanced safety technologies such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and advanced braking. In terms of options, those include the black molded-in color hardtop or a body-color hardtop, plus all-terrain tires at no cost.
For those that might prefer a pickup, the Wrangler is joined by the Gladiator 85th Anniversary edition, which gets the same heritage-inspired plaid design cues and commemorative details. Order banks for both the 2026 Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator 85th Anniversary models are already open, with pricing starting out at $46,300 for the SUV (minus the $1,995 destination fee), while Gladiator starts out at at $45,820.
