Jeeps That Work, Literally

Since I’ve been writing for JK Forum, we’ve featured some of the best, coolest, and strangest Jeeps around. It doesn’t matter if they’re built for rock crawling, mudding, or just looking cool. If it has anything to do with Jeep, I’ve covered it. Which gets me to my point for this article today.

Why haven’t I written about more working Jeeps? Jeeps that are doing a job, Jeeps that are working hard, Jeeps that are more utilitarian, less flash and lifted? Why haven’t I written about more of these awesome machines? Easy, I didn’t know about them.

FourWheeler recently visited a Willys Jeep Rally in southern Ohio. Yet unlike most Jeep rallies, there weren’t the aforementioned tricked-out Jeeps, but rather a class that was put to work right after the war. The rally featured Jeeps with plows, Jeeps that were turned into backhoes, and Jeeps that could dig trenches. There are seriously a lot of rugged utilitarian Jeeps out there that I didn’t know about.

Check out the gallery below featuring some of these awesome Jeeps. And there are plenty more over at FourWheeler too.
