Combination of Jeep incentives and dealer discounts slice up to $9,485 off the cost of a 2018 JL Wrangler.

If you’ve been in the market for a JL Wrangler since its release, chances are, you’ve experienced at least a little sticker shock. After all, Jeep’s flagship model sells like hotcakes, making the existence of things like discounts and incentives virtually unheard of. But as the deal gurus at Cars Direct recently pointed out, now might just be the time to score a rare, amazing deal on a JL Wrangler.

Apparently, Jeep has a gluttonous inventory of 2018 JL Wrangler models still sitting on dealer lots. Thus, they’ve been inclined to offer cash incentives on those models, in some cases reaching a whopping $9,000. So how did this happen? Apparently, Jeep’s extended sell-down on the JK, which overlapped with the introduction of the JL, led to this little “problem.”

So for now, Jeep is offering a $500 bonus on all JL Wrangler models. Which, as Cars Direct points out, is one of the only factory incentives they’ve ever seen offered on the Wrangler. And after doing a little searching, they found a dealership in Huntington Beach, California offering an additional $8,985 off a 4-door Sahara model.

That adds up to a substantial $9,485 savings, and slices the price of that particular Jeep from $43,885 to just $34,400. In other parts of the country, total discounts were a little more conservative, ranging from $6,341 to $7,334, so your mileage will vary.

Regardless, these are the kinds of deals that don’t exactly come around very often. So if you’re in the market for a JL Wrangler, now appears to be the time to strike. Jeep’s cash incentive ends on April 30, so you’ll probably want to hurry, too. But be sure and shop around and don’t be afraid to travel for the best offer.
