2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited

Built by Doetsch Off-Road, this JLU’s shiny chrome body is trimmed with patina’d fenders and bumpers.

Christmas has come and gone, the new year is upon us, and there’s no new Rubicon in the driveway. What can you do (besides check out our new JK Forum Marketplace, of course)?

You could do what we do all the time: look through auction catalogs to find really cool Jeeps that could be yours. We found this custom 2018 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited set to roll onto the red carpet of Barrett-Jackson’s auction event in Scottsdale, Arizona, Jan. 12 – 20, 2019, and we’d like to share it with you.

“Professionally customized in a ‘Mad Max’ theme by renowned Jeep builder Dave Doetsch from Doetsch Off-Road,” this shiny and chrome Rubicon features patina’d accents all around, from the custom hoop bumper with winch, to the fenders and running boards.

The 3.6-liter V6 moving the Rubicon remains unchanged, though it and the eight-speed automatic bring the 285 horses and 260 lb-ft of torque to a set of 17-inch chrome wheels wrapped in fat rubber, connected to the lifted suspension to a pair of Dana 44s.

You’ll never run out of fuel out in the wastelands with the pair of gas cans mounted on the rear bumper, nor will you be uncomfortable riding in the custom leather seats inside. Oh, what a wonderful day it would be to ride historic in this custom Rubicon.
