You know the old saying, “They don’t build ’em how they used to.” Yeah, that saying exists because it’s totally true. And there can be no better example than this 1941 Willys Jeep. Everyone’s heard the story of the Willys Jeep and how it helped win World War II. But not many of those Jeeps ever made it back to the states, and those that did haven’t exactly survived, except for a few in military museums around the country.

Somehow though, against all odds, this 1941 Willys Jeep, built on the second day of production, has managed to escape a scrap metal fate. Even more impressive is that it’s been a work truck since 1941, and that continues to this day. The man who owns the Willys Jeep has had it forever, and has been using it as his work truck, navigating the Colorado Rocky Mountains, almost entirely off-road. Impressive to say the least.

It has no windshield, no doors, and the seats are handmade replacements. It’s just the perfect little engine that could. And we salute you, little truck.
