Jeep Willys 1 1024x1024

There’s certainly no way you could miss this Jeep at a car show. The 1954 Willys Jeep Station Utility Wagon is …well, pretty unique to say the least.

Owned by Everett Gorel, the historical Willys Jeep was actually one of the first mass-market, all-steel station wagons made to be a passenger vehicle. The original production run from 1946 to 1965 preceded manufacturing in Argentina as the IKA Estanciera, which ended its production in 1981, as highlighted in a Houston Chronicle report.

Gorel, who owns a film and video production company in Texas, purchased the Willys in 1996 for $8,000. Since then, he’s put more than $25,000 into the Jeep in parts alone, which included adding a long-block Chevy 350 V8 engine, and a Turbo 350 transmission.

So I guess you could say cool looks aren’t the only thing this Willys has got going for it.
