This 1978 Jeep CJ-7 Ain’t Your Average Dragster
When people think of Jeeps, they normally think of SUVs that are designed to conquer the world’s vast terrain. Massive tires, rock crawling, playing in the mud, and surrounded by hot chicks. That’s the Jeep world in a nutshell. Or so we thought, until we discovered this 1978 Jeep CJ-7.
As you can see in the video below, this is no ordinary Jeep. According to the owner, this capable off-roader now has an AMC 401ci V8 that has some very interesting modifications, including ported cylinder heads, a new custom camshaft, and a few other items that he doesn’t want to declare. Supposedly, this Jeep makes around 370 horsepower and 440lb-ft of torque at the wheels! That, coupled with the drag slicks out back, gives this little off-road vehicle a respectable 13-second pass at a staggering 100 mph.
