I did those same trails in my 98 TJ a few years back. I agree for the most part you can really enjoy the trails and not get in too much trouble. Only problem was if you ever did find trouble, it got bad fast even if only for a short section. It is a fantastic place to ride! If I understand this correctly, your TJ mods would have gotten you into roughly the same configuration as many of the stock JKs. I was really surprised at the number of stock JKs I saw running around up there, and not just on the easy rated trails. You'd hear someone rub the on the slide plate occasionally (crossing over the mud water break humps in the trail), but no horrific crunching, grinding, snapping, etc. that I could tell.

By the way, I think a bunch of us want to go back again before Tellico closes for the Winter so this could be another chance for some great trail riding.

07JKX was only running 12lbs of air (note the rear tire on that boulder). Most of the others were running around 18lbs:

Those are some great pix Gary

. I certainly regret staying home from that trip. From the pix, the trails don't look much harder than Mountainside. I would love to go next time.
