Weeelll, technically the 2nd trip but still new and learning. Our group consisted of our Jeep JK, Toyota 4Runner and a Tahoe. Found some locally built terrain parks that were great and had sand hill climbs, moguls, mud pits etc. Hats off to the locals who maintain it.
One quick question though, we have a manual transmission and there's been a few instances of burning clutch smell after a recovery pull and even when we were at top of hill climb and Jeep kept stalling out in 4H in 1st gear...as trying to keep up the speed. Not sure if that's the right way I should be doing it though. We have BFG KO2's 285/70R/17 with Terraflex leveling kit. Any ideas? Normal to smell burnt clutch after working her a bit?

Did you put painter's tape on your fenders and top???
Yups! You can't see it here but there are alot of very tight trails and this is cheap protection...lots of branches/limbs scrape down the side of the vehicle when going through and this help out and comes off easily. It's my wife's daily driver and new (to us) so trying to keep it lookin good for awhile! :-)
Where in the forest did you find that? Which road sis you take in?

Why are you in 4hi? When off-roading I don't not understand why people have it in hi. Use LO. That's what it's for. HI is for higher speeds, like riding on the road in the snow. Using HI is much harder on the transmission when off-roading.
4 HI is not for offroading. between needing to slip the clutch alot more to start and the computers kicking in you will smoke your clutch. Use 4 LO. Also remember on a stick shift to never press the clutch pedal if you are in water or mud; it will eventually get up the opening in the bell housing and glaze over your clutch. For those pics you posted 4LO and 2nd or 3rd gear would be optimal.
