JK-Forum Logo Contest - Time to vote!
#29
I must say I'm disappointed by the choice of the 10 entries, even though my entry is one of them.
I think that there were better logos than some of the chosen 10.
The JK Forum includes members from the US, Europe, Asia, Australia and more. They live and offroad in very different parts of the world, and in different types of terrain.
The logo should not reflect a single type of offroading such as mountains or rocks.
Out of the 10, entries #1 to #3 -- 30% -- are variations of the same mountain…
Why put a sticker, with a Jeep picture, on a Jeep? For people who don't know what 'JK' is?...
No way I'd put a sticker with a Jeep picture on my Jeep, just like I wouldn't put a sticker with a Corvette pic on a Corvette… The Jeep speaks for itself, and the 'JK' speaks for itself – loud & clear. Spoon-feeding the Jeeps' shape is, IMO, superfluous overdoing, and graphically old fashioned.
I'd also like to see a logo which is unique to the JK Forum.
It should be recognizable on a passing Jeep across a street.
Logos with mountain silhouettes are so common that yet another logo with it can't be totally unique. It becomes 'just one out of many'.
Here are just a few examples, out of many more:

I tend to agree with you. Although, I didn't submit anything so I can't really complain... I see a lot of votes are coming in for #4 and while I think it is okay when you study it on a computer, I'm afraid it would just look like a torn up JK sticker on a Jeep. (especially from a distance) If that one ends up being the winner I will not be sporting the colors. (sorry)
