2012 Grand Cherokee - Fuel mileage and how many kms to a tank
Hey all,
My wife and I are planning on getting rid of our 2008 Jeep Commander 5.7L Hemi for a 2012 Grand Cherokee with the 3.6L Pentastar.
I am looking for real life scenarios on fuel consumption not the non realistic claims that manufacturers make.
How many kms or miles are you getting to the tank? Highway and City driving .....an average...not the...I got 1000kms to tank once
I know it's going to be a hell of a lot better than my wife's Commander with the Hemi but how much better.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks Matador!

My wife's at 8k miles shows 16.8mpg average. It is mostly driven to and from work and to run errands on the weekend. I know you don't want the "one time" deal but we drove to Colorado Springs and back (2k miles) in my moms and it averaged 24mpg.
I agree waiting for the 2014 if you can.

My wife has a 2012 GCO with the 5.7. She averages 20 MPG. It's all about your driving. I get in it and it drops down to 16-12. We have driven it long distances and averages stayed in the low twenties. Again how are you driving and what type of terrain/ elevation. Regardless of what you get it's not a bad choice.

Assuming the onboard computer is accurate, I average 16mpg in the city and 27 on the interstate if I set the CC at 69mph and don't have to deviate from that very often.
It's especially sweet considering I got about 15mpg, on the interstate, downhill, with a strong tailwind in my 2009 JKU.
