I will fly anything as long as i make it through pilot school, my goal is to fly fighters but I know that fighter pilots are getting their hours cut back and don’t get to fly as much as cargo pilots. I would love to fly fighters, and I know it would be a kick in the pants but it sucks to know that you only get to fly a handful of times a month. Anyways my avatar is me standing in front of an F-16 while I was at Nellis AFB, my detachment was getting a tour of the base. The other pics you may have seen of me are in T-38's which are based out of Beale AFB for the U-2 pilots, every once in a while i get incentive rides when the pilots have an open back seat.

 

Make sure you’re nice to the Crew Chiefs because we hate you LT’s getting ready for pilot school. We work day and night taking care of our aircraft and never get a flight then some LT show’s up and gets one no problem. One time I had this LT get out, he covered in puke and smelled horrible; he looks at me and says “Guess I shouldn’t have eaten that orange”. I was so mad; you would not believe how long it takes to get that kind of stuff out from around the many gauges in the cockpit.

If you do make it through pilot school always remember the cardinal rule, if you bring her back with damage that was your fault, ask the Crew Chief what kind of beer they want and bring it ASAP. Cheers - KY

 

Trust me I will never be like that, I do know that there are some LT's that think they are maverick from top gun and i also know that they dont last very long. One saying my commander has always told us is that the crew is the backbone of every pilot, without you guys there would be no way for us to even fly!! Thanks for all of your hard work
