You need to PM on these miles of offroading. I'm in Beaver County, north/west of the Burgh. There isn't shit around. There are places I know of that you can get into, but it's private property and your at risk of meeting some nice fellows with badges and guns if you go into the power lines and stuff. And additionally, its typically just dirt powerline trails, no rock crawling. I'd love to find a Rausch Creek like terrain, but over here in western PA.

Wellsville is free. As long as you stay out of the marked areas, there is plenty of dirt, ruts and mud/water. But almost nothing for rock crawling.

The Bantam festival costs $10 to get into and it's not about the wheeling, although that is an activity you can participate in.

I wasn't saying there were not risks involved...I was simply making a comparison with that logic. As far as trails go...there was still plenty around the Somerset and Westmoreland county mountain areas...I wish they were all "legal" as they used to be back in the day. Besides, the Bantam is more about the heritage than it is the "wild". I'm quite sure the guys at Rausch support this as well....

The folks from Rauch Creek do the trails and the playground at Bantam. Work with them every year including this year

I've done these festival events in the past, they get old pretty quick. I think that they are awesome for the people that don't really go offroad and have basic Jeeps and want to go see what kind of things they can do. For people that frequently go into the wild, we know already. I guess I just don't dig the atmosphere, and that does not intend to imply that no one does. Have fun. I'll see you at Wellsville, Rausch Creek or Colorado/Utah some time. <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=647867"/>

These Jeeps are far too "basic" for me.
