I took a 3/4 day deep sea fishing trip to the Coronado Islands in Mexico last week while on vacation.
Caught 5 MASSIVE California Rock Bass
Even though the fish were small it was still a great time.

Not mine, but this is the newspaper article picture of my grandfather and the fish he caught off the gulf of Mexico. 85lbs and took him 3 and a half hours to reel it in since he wasn't out there for this size fish that day. He's 6'3" for some perspective.

Totally wish I caught this BUT, a 12yr old kid caught it on shrimp on a cheap rod with 10lb test. His face was priceless. Now he will love the sport of fishing.
