It wasn't in our tent, it was on it. We found it as we were crawling in for the night. There was another one on the ground that ran (literally-- like, really fast) away from us, but this guy just sat there blocking our entrance to the tent so I snapped a couple of pics and flung him off with my unused front license plate.

Yeah, it's two. Pretty insane looking.... but as the earlier link says, the perspective in the pic is way off and makes them look a lot bigger than they actually are. Compare the end of the sleeve in the pic to them and you realize they are only 3 or 4 inches long.... still huge enough, though!

Damn Doojer, in AB? Now I've got something else to look out for besides the tarantulas and scorpions. Eeek! That is seriously freaky.

Was it just me or did anyone else see the thread title and think:

Camel toe + bikini spider = camel spider

Maybe I'm just a little off kilter, but this thread was in the same area as "eyeful a day."

That looks like something out of Starship Troopers. Where was that pic taken so I can make a mental note to never go there.

It was taken in the middle east by our soilders. By the way, that picture is of 2 of them and a little deceiving. Their main body can range fom 3 to 6 inches, you can see the guys palm in the top right of picture. I don't mind spiders, but that's the only kind that creeps me out every time I see the pictures.
