Default We got an early start this year...

We started camping in March. January & February were still too cold.

Here we are at the Falls Lake State Park in March 2008:

Here we are at the Outer Banks (OBX) near Cape Hatteras in Frisco, NC on Hatteras Island and then on the beach at Ocracoke Island. This was in April 2008.

Here we are on Badin Lake at the Uwharrie (URE) National Forest. We were there for a week, so we got to do some trails also (mild ones). This was in May 2008 (about 3 weeks ago).

I want to go to Tellico this summer and maybe go to one of the Jeep Jamborees in Virginia.

So many places to go....so little time....

I camped there on New Years Eve once (yeah we camp int he dead of "winter" here in florida) and had my old 1971 Kent Cortez RV. Was getting ready to head out to a concert and had the back door open and some Racoon was COMING in the RV looking for a handout.

That park is littered w/ them. Ranger told me he saw a bull shark eat one as it was swimming from one island to the next.

There were sooo many racoons! My wife was freaking out, lol. We had the string of x-mas lights out over night, so when the racoons passed, you could see the shadow of them walking by the tent! And all night you could hear them scratching the coolers trying to get in. But they didn't.

Default Elk Neck State Park, North East MD

My wife, the 1yr old and the dog bailed out after the first night due to the 90+ temps but me and Patrick had a fun time the rest of the weekend even though it was a little warm.

If you want to become an efficient packer buy a 2 dr Jeep.

A recent camping trip to a friend's property in Bucks County, PA. Beautiful property in the woods and as you can see some trails to keep us busy

Yeah it does, doesn't it? LOL. But, that isn't the Tall Trees Grove (which is in Redwoods National
Park). Rather, it's in Redwood Canyon in Kings Canyon National Park--making that a Giant Sequoia.
