Default Bald Mountain 5/31/14

Hi CenCal, a few of us are going to try to wheel in the Bald Mountain area on 5/31. Hoping some folks with knowledge of the area would like to join us and possibly show us around. Here's the link to the NorCal post:

In case you didn't know, this trail closes for a month every spring, but you planned it perfectly.

That's what I hear.. I guess they close the trails so the roads can dry up to prevent Erosion

I know SNFS says they're reopening Bald May 30, but the trail has been open for awhile. We were there last Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, and Bald was packed with OHV's.

Have fun this weekend!

If anyone knowledgeable of the area goes up again, post up in the norcal section too please. Would love to explore more of the area with someone who knows the region.

Some of us from NorCal have done Swamp Lake trail and found it very fun.So basically like that or just some trail rides around the area would work to.For myself after speaking with the wife, camping is a must especially near water

WHITE BARK VISTA: EASY
MIRROR/ STRAWBERRY LAKES: MODERATE-DIFFICULT
COYOTE/ RED LAKE: MODERATE-DIFFICULT
BREWER LAKE: MODERATE
BALD MOUNTAIN: MODERATE
SWAMP LAKE: DIFFICULT
VOYAGER ROCK: EASY
DUSY/ERSHIM TRAIL: DIFFICULT
SPANISH ROUTE: DIFFICULT

I've personally done Swamp Lake, Bald Mtn, Mirror/ Strawberry Trail and White Bark Vista (Awesome view). All the other trails I have friends that have done them. Camping is a must for some of these trails.
