Depending when you would make the trek. So-Cal has it's prime running time going on now. The Hammers are difficult, CenCel area. There are the Dusy and Swamp lake trails. Nor-Cal there is Rubicon Trail.

You going to be in one area only? or the whole state? What time of year. Must trails are closed due to snow.

Now is good wheeling in SoCal(the desert). For the most part all CenCal & NorCal trails are closed until May-June. It depends on how much late season snow we get this year.
