My little 2" lift performed great on my 2-day trip up in the Big Bear area earlier this year. Was the first real wheeling I've done since the install. My mistake though was using the shock extensions. The amount of travel is quite a bit less than an appropriately fitted shock. I just put on my Bilstein 5100s this weekend and can't wait to try 'em out. Ride even feels a little better on the road already.
My advice, for what it's worth, is to don't just get the springs and call it good. You will want the track bar and lower control arms too, at least. These will give you a ride very close to stock again. And go ahead and replace all those bolts with 9/16 versions while you are under there.
After all this is done, just be prepared to want more. I'm already dreaming of the day I can put on 35's, flat fenders, bumpers, winch, trek top, body armor...
so what do you boys and girls want from Santa's 4x4 department i want a winch and ace rock rails. and maybe a smitybilt trail axe for my stocking lol nothing says happy holidays like a stainless steel trail axe with removable base for fishing hooks, E blanket, and water prof matches. i know i know il axe my eye out.
well i got the winch my wife thought that due to the over 20 pound charge it was...oh i don't know 25 pounds maybe more. so when it came she fought with it for some time then called me to go retrieve it from the front porch lol. clearly saying what kind of winch was in the box
^This.
