Under 2000 miles and just noticed the rear end is making a metallic noise when going though 2ed gear on a incline and when 4 people in it plus this can only be heard from the back seat never had a rear wheel drive befor is this normal break in sounds I posted this in stock teck but it was lost in the on going new posts

 

No that's not normal. Did you ride in the back to confirm the noise?

 

Yes it sounds like the diff. Then we drove it around so we could try and pin point it and it only when the the jeeps in the starting of the next gearso when torque is at its height. Oh and the I get under ther and see this

We will be heading up to bald mountain tomorrow..... (only thing open) anyways last minute but if anybody wants to join us let me know.

 

I talked to the ranger last week. There're looking at June 16th to open the Red Mountain area. My Dad drove up to the gate last weekend. Three is still snow in the trees.

 

Update: it was a heat shield over the muffler lol ima bumbass
