I'm now thinking of just the 3" lift from Teraflex after watching their video on tires sizes. I only want to do 35" tires so the 3" is probably good enough.
Question to ya all: Is the 3" Teraflex good enough if I'm only ever going to do 35s?
Is there a "long arm" 3" suspension, and which shocks would you go with?
Will I still need to do one or both of the drivelines with a 3"?

Thanks guys (and gals, if you're out there).

OK, now I've got the new springs that gave me between 2" & 3" of lift, front adjustable sway bar links, and I already know I need a front adjustable track bar. After that, what should be next on my wish list to give me a better ride:

Rear Adjustable Sway Bar Links
Rear Adjustable Track Bar
Shocks
Front & Rear Control Arms
HD Stabilizer w/relocation kit
Something else?

I have to have another mod to look forward to, it's like an epic addiction or something...

I'm doing 35s on a leveling kit and cut flares, 3" is plenty. 37s are doable on 2.5" with flat flares. You could just pick up any company's long arm kit and run shorter springs. Blistein 5100s are a popular choice. You'll eventually have to swap out driveshafts sooner than later with lifts 3" and up, especially with a lot of them taller than advertised. The boot on the front will tear at about 3" lifts, and the rear driveshaft angle gets snafu'ed at taller lifts.

Front LCAs if your you're getting a flighty feeling while driving in the steering, shocks for a smoother ride.

And thanks Epic Addictions for all the help. It would have taken me 2-3 times as long to install the leveling kit solo. Still got my shimmy before getting the leveling kit installed, but I found out both my left shocks were shot. I had a few cases of death wobble a couple months ago prior to getting a new steering stabilizer (old one leaked empty), and when I swapped out the stabilizer, retorqued the trackbar, no more death wobble, just a shimmy. Damage was already done to the trackbar holes, replaced the bolts with 9/16", helped a little. 35s Nitto Trail Grapplers going on this Friday. I'll get some pictures after they're on.

Yes for 35's 3 inch should be fine and Teraflex does have a 3" long arm kit. http://shop.epic-addictions.com/TERA...dr-1257300.htm

Not much savings over the 4" kit. The benefit of the long arm is to maintain the stock ride quality by retaining as close to factory geometry as possible. For 3 inch, shafts are recommended, required for the 4. If possible I would recommend a "kit" regardless of who's vs piecing together a lift in order to get parts engineered to complement each other. If that works out and you decide you like these links or that shock better then you swap them one at a time as you can, if you run into trouble you will know why. Most vendors will have many options for shocks. Personally I run Fox remotes and like them fine, bilstein are great as I'm sure elkas and the TeraFlex standards are, all a matter of cost.

Thanks to everybody for the support!

For a better ride on the rocks:

Winch
Corner guards
Sliders
RCV shafts
On board air
Off road lighting

the list never ends!

Oh I know!

My build, at least for the next few years is more of a balanced build for street, towing, and then off-road. Eventually I'll get a truck for towing and then I can start adding stuff like on your list above. But for now, I just want to build the ground work that will make my suspension comfortable and capable.

Not sure I'd go with the long are kit, you can only flex as much as your shock will allow, and the longer arms can get hung up on more rocks!
