The best job I have ever had and I can stand it. I do cad and pdms design work, sit on my ass all day and can't stand it. I need to be on my feet!

Stand up and work?

 

Go work construction. Not much sitting involved with that.

 

Since you are familiar with CAD, get a machinist job or be a machine setup or operator

I do construction. I'm 29 and feel like I'm 59. I'm on my feet all day

 

Relax on the job if you can, most folks cant I've got a technical style job with no physical exertion as well.

After work you have to do something physical or you'll be miserable. I've run 10+ marathons, 2 Ironman triathlons, also done a ton of other fun stuff. I'm 50 and weigh within 10 pounds of my high school graduation weight. Work hard. Play hard.

 

Same here (piping designer)...I was just complaining to my wife a 1/2 hour ago that I need a new job. I was happier driving a lumber truck but working more hours for 1/2 the money sucks. I was in way better shape and felt better doing physical labor all day for sure.
