This is certainly a bucket list item!

Def a bucket list item! I'd love to go but I would have to piece my jk together a bit quicker. hah I'm running flat fenders and 33 bfgs with a front bumper I made that has d rings for tow points. hitch in the rear for a tow point. Just put rails from a rubicon on and I'm planning evo rock skins or aussie locker next. what would be your opinions on whats the minimum needed to make it through without being too much of a hinderance to others? I'm planning 35s on a leveling kit but I was waiting to have to money to regear as well.. doubt I'd have them by July. (I don't mind a rough/difficult trip, just wouldn't want to slow down the pack too much)

We are taking a few stockers through the trail.A slower pace to take in the sights and help spot through the tough spots. With 33" you should be fine.Diff covers, underside protection a must,as well as recovery points front and rear. You can check out some more info on the Rubicon home page.Hope to see you there

CenCal,NorCal has 12 JK's going to the RubiconI've set a cut off of 15 Jk's to avoid too large of a group on the trail,so unless CenCal shows some interest you may have to hook-up with the SoCal group which they will be on the trail the same as us.Groupat Buck Island.

No worries from SoCal, we are ready, and we've only got 5 rigs so far, and plenty of room for more. If necessary, we will split up into manageable trail groups and all meet up at Buck Island lake for camping! I can bring trail leaders and tail gunners who've run the trail before. Yes, this is definitely a Bucket List trail. You can sign up below at the link on my signature.

Man do I want to do this, I am still bone stock however - unless a CB counts?
Maybe later in the summer - have to sell my 1966 VW Convertible first - that will pay for my $6K of stuff I need (want) for the Rubicon.

Anyone in CENCAL want a beautiful '66 VW convert in stupendous condition? I've had it over 25 years and hate to part with it - I'd stick photos here but this is the wrong thread for that. (and I don't know how).

Email me for pics, price and description

Good luck on the sale of your vw because we def need to find a way to make this run. Even if I'll still be sitting low on 33s by then. I'll happily bring my own tow strap and just keep it hooked up ready for someone's big rig to pull my through. Lol
