I would go camp out with you guys but I have family in town that weekend

 

I was planning on a caravan.......
We are considering camping on Friday instead of hotel.........
Darren can leave anytime on Friday, so whenever is most convenient for everyone.

 

I would like to get there early enough to maybe take a quick run and help setup and get a good choice of camping area

 

I'll try to get off as early as possible. It won't be 5:30 like last time.

Do you guys (and girls) have a recommended place to fill up the gas tank before heading into the desert? Is Mojave or California City the last chance to gas up? I don't want to run out during the event but don't want to be gouged by an over-priced "last chance" gas station either.

I went to LA and back Tuesday and it cost me 130$ I paid $4.19 before hitting the grapevine!!! Ugh!!

 

Maybe. I'm bringing 2 others with me as passengers and need to check with them both to see if they're up for an extra night of camping. As far as I'm concerned, I'd prefer to head down Friday with the rest of you. But it wouldn't be until after 5:00 before we left Porterville. I may be a caravan of one.
