Everything within the NP is paved and pretty much touristy. If you want something more secluded I would suggest getting out of the park and into the national forest.
There is great logging roads and trails around the national parks that give you a lot of the same value without the asphalt.
If you are looking for stuff around Yosemite let me know what entrance.

That's what I figured as far as the NP goes. We'll be staying in the sequoias a couple of nights then going north the Yosemite. Our campgrounds in Yosemite are about 55 miles north of the village. Using google earth I seen some what looked like mellow trails to the east.
