Default AEV Procal

Anyone around here got one of these yet?

Todd, i know you were talking about it.

I want to make sure that you can clear any DTC codes before taking the jump, or else I will have to go with another solution, since the dealers around here can NOT figure out why my evap light keeps saying that the EVAP switch is stuck closed.

(first dealer wont cover any diagnostic or repair under warranty, because i replaced the cannister after it got cracked by ice last fall.

Other dealer has replaced everything, including the switch, the cannister, and the wire harness. Has blown out all the lines, and is taking it in tomorrow to drop the gas tank to see if there are any crushed lines.
This is getting worse by the week.
Initially the light came on every other week, now it returns only the second or third drive after being cleared.

I want to have a way to clear it every time I start the jeep so that I might be able to use the engine starter but I probably wont be needed that now till next winter.
maybe they will figure it out by then

Yes, it will clear all codes but the Jeep will still run a diagnostic and show a evap code after a few starts....

bet, you have a bad seal...on the tube clip.....

Thanks Zeb, but the code is for a stuck switch, or no leaks will do that.

They have blown out all the lines and confirmed that there is no blockage.
They have replaced the switch, and gone back and tested the new and old switches and proved they work fine.

Right now, they are pulling the gas tank to look for crushed lines, btut hey admit that they had run out of ideas weeks ago. Tech support has no idea either.

I know the code would coem back after a few starts, but if i can clear it when I get it, then I should be able to use it most days.
My bigger concern is gettign a second code and never knowing about it because i am driving with the engine light on ALL the time.

I am going to try to read the DTC code on the dash using the technique found on this sight, to monitor what codes are there till I get a reader.
