As long as you have tow points front and rear you should be good to go. Snatch strap if you have one although their usually lots of those anyways. Portable air compressor for airing up but their are gas stations fairly close if you dont. Dont forget to pack a lunch.

.
The May 1st opening season date is quickly approaching and with spring being late this year and due to late snow fall and overall volume received some trails / roads may be unsuitable for trail riding. If the ground is too soft the trail becomes rutted and this makes the trail difficult for other users resulting in bad feelings towards 4-wheel-drive vehicles leading to trail closures. Monitoring by a multitude of organizations such as the MNR and municipalities is active as always and continued use of the trails or un-assumed roads depends on good behavior. If a municipality needs to grade a road after 4wd abuse they will take steps to limit future damage by restricting access to trails/road.

Before planning a trail ride please consider:
If the trail is likely to be soft and muddy damage may occur
If the access roads to the trail are easily rutted this can cause issues for other users or local residents who depend on these roads for access and emergency services
Where this applies please consider postponing your trip or substituting a trail with a hard packed surface. The OF4WD Trail Index contains information about each trail and can help in deciding which trails would be less suitable during spring thaw. Access the Trail Index here (Must be logged into your account)

Trails around Minden and further north may still be covered with snow and ice as of latest reports (April 19th 2013). A
