Brake line extensions (metal brackets) are very safe provided they are installed correctly.

Brake lines always have some type of variation built into them. Could be minimal or could be as much as few inches. You can see this when the lines are unbolted from the frame. There is quite a bit of play. This is designed so that there is a tolerance should there be some variation when they are out of spec.

All that brake line extensions do is lower the travel range of the brake line. They do not make it longer. It seems like they will allow the brake lines to extend lower, but infact you are limiting their travel range in the upward range. So inessence, you have not increased their travel range. Having said that, with the current kit you have, you will not be able to reach the upper brake line extension limit. Basically, your spring will coil on itself before it does.

Once you start getting into lifts 3 inches and beyond, yes it is recommended but until then you are fine. Adding a brake line extension is identical to notching the frame an inch lower to accept the clip for the brake line carrier. Provided they do not interfer with any of the moving parts, you will have absolutely no problem.
