Default Bushwacker Modification

Hey Guys and Gals...

Decided to try cutting my Pocket styles before going to the flats...I really like the look of the pocket style but wanted the clearance of the flats...plus many a tree have split and cracked the flares so they where pooched anyway.

So with nothing to lose I thought let's try anyway... surprisingly they are quite ridged without the under support and now quite flexible. I finished the edges with the same trim I used around the snorkel and voila It looks friggin great ( My Thunks anyway)

Shots here..

rod, i like it except for the front look...needs to come to the grille at an angle...it looks out of place flat across the front. i say either curve it or angle in towards the grille. just my thunks.

Very nice it looks great I would just cut the front ones so the front of the flares line up to the grille but that would be if you had a stubby.

Ya Dave ,Good Idea...I thought about doing that ... But I think I am going to leave this for a week or two...The pics don't really do it justice... And all the other ends are squared off..so it does tie in. I also chopped off the ends of the front bumper to match the width....
When I get back from Weir on the 16th I'll look at it again....

Great Job Rod.
I like the look of the front fenders. Don't listen to Dave, everyone does it with the front angle.

You should bring it over next weekend (and help out as a spotter on the offroad confidence course and/or for a trail on Sat) at JKJam and see what everyone thinks of it
