I just got back from two weeks out east and I have to say I really enjoyed these new Cibie headlights.

With the stock set I could count on getting flashed several times by on coming traffic. This year I never got flashed once from on coming traffic. A couple of times I got flashed by transport trucks that I was passing, I attribute this to the fact that the light pattern kicks up on the right side and I had a bunch of stuff in the rear that would have caused the lights to be aimed higher then normal. When I was driving at night with no load I never had any problems.

However I will probably try to re-aim this with 1-200lbs in the rear to avoid future problems.

Nice, I'm thinking of getting this kit from Stern.

What did you need to do with the AEV kit? I have questions about the wiring/voltage setup, any errors on your dash?

Ideally, I'd like something as close to stock as possible.

The AEV ProCal was needed to switch the daytime running lights (DRL) to something other than a high voltage configuration. There are 6 modes for the DRL that can be activated with the AEV ProCal. Either lo-beam or hi-beam at half voltage and I suspect that the relays wouldn't like this. The remaining options are off, fog lights, marker lights, and European. The European mode causes all lights to come on full when the DRL activate. (This is what I used)

When the wiring harness from Stern is used it uses the normal highlight wiring to trigger relays which are connected to the battery. I haven't had any errors or problems, other then a couple of transport trucks with bright back up lights.

Hmm, I emailed him on the 18th, no response yet....

How long did it take for him to get back to you?

Update: He called last night, good times!
