Hi-Lift $300
Rooftop Tent - $2k
4x Scepter Fuel - $1k
4x Scepter Water - $1k
2x Pelican Cases - $500
Lighting - $2k
Rack - $1500

So another $7500 or so... Total around $13k per vehicle.

$13k x 4 vehicles = $52k... Quite possibly closer to $60k when you consider tools, food, fuel, etc etc etc.

$60k isn't undoable for getting sponsorship money - if the communication of the advantages to the sponsors is done correctly. We would need to take good pictures of their stuff in action and give them the ability to use us in any promotional materials they want. We also need to get the respective tourism boards involved and possibly the provincial/federal government. Again, not too difficult if the messaging is done properly.

But it definitely could be done.

I'm very willing to help solicit sponsors and on the finance end of things if you guys can fill the gaps in my knowledge on the expedition planning and mechanical side.

Jake, do you have an email I can reach you at?

Not trying to be secretive guys, just have to respect this website and the guidelines I was given by its administrators, in regards to Overland and its sponsors.

Good news guys.

I did a little bit of searching some sat dat/ topo. There are 3 possible ways to attack towards Moosonee. The closest is an astonishing 139 km (straightline), and two more are only at 156 and 159 km from Moosonee.

Basically, what this means is that, up until those points, there will be absolutely no problem getting the equipment there. Even in it's current status.

After this is where the fun begins.

From that point on we are on our own. The vehicles must be capable to do anything. The problems start arising when it comes to water crossings. It is impossible to see the depth of some of these crossings from sat pics so it might be really fun getting the Jeeps accross.

So, more homework is in order for me. I'll see what I can come up with from those points.

I suppose we could always fly home when we were finished.

Other than that, I think we would have to come back the same way. AFAIK, the Polar Bear Express does not have a car for carrying automobiles. So we have to check the ability to resupply in Moosonee I think.
