Default dead battery

how many times have you killed your battery?
have you up graded your battery? if so to what?

for winter do you have a battery warmer?
do you even use the engine block heater

personally i kill mine once a week

time for a battery soon i guess.
think i have a slow drain cell on it

had one on my last new Chrysler product as well so no real surprise.
cept now i probably have no warranty thanx to the nice 9500# winch i have....I can hear them laughing at me now.

Sounds like time for a new optima yellowtop.

I haven't had any problems up north. Now that I'm on the coast, I don't plan to kill it in the cold so no replacement plans.

If performance drops, then I'll be getting a yellowtop.

The blue top Optima from Costco is probably your best bet. It's a deep cycle marine battery that will have now trouble running all your stuff and it has top and side post for extra places to hook stuff up to.

07 Battery should not have a dead cell, should test for a short before blowing the bucks on a new bat that most likly has nothing wrong with it.

A Chrysler stock battery is good for 2-3 years. Normal.
Buy a good Battery. It will be good for 5-10 years.

ya at work i run an inverter that powers my laptop that is linked to my cell for internet so cell is charging at same time
then the stereo is also on and well the infinity system has an amp and it uses a fair amount of juice and interior lights on some of the time
the jeep's pcm is on when key is on accessory position, you can hear the electronic throttle do it's checks
I easily calculate 120watts of power consumption.

i try to idle every hour when i can to recharge.

and yes chrysler batteries can be bad from the factory. don't forget these are lead plate batteries and any one who knows me knows i spend a fair amount of time offroad. couple hrs per weekend and more so when the gaggle goes out. so all that wheeling and vibrations may have done something

last night i discovered what police cars use to prevent dead batteries they have a voltage drop isolator. i'm getting meself one of them and a new battery ya definitely thinkin marine grade. may have to go to kingston and put a rodeo sign on todds garage door while i got to costco.i figure a group 34 blue top
will do the trick.

thanks for the help guys

welp new battery installed
its a gel cell spiral marine battery
went with a group 34 and fits great works great headlights are brighter
thinking the stock battery can't handle the off road vibrations and with my luck i got a week battery originally.

i type this as i'm sitting in south lancaster at a fire site, listening montreal radio, picking up a wifi and banging away on my lap top.

cheers
and thanks for the input the wing nut lugs on the battery are great for accessories and heavier duty than i thought they would be.
