DRL's i don't want them!

Like I said, many of the laws are regarding the manufacture of vehicles, not the ownership. Just like airbags. Airbags are required to be installed the manufacturer, but they are not required to be kept. I pulled them on my trackday car.
Why did I take out the DRL? I run 100W low beam bulbs and don't want them to burn out prematurely. (And no, I'm not blinding people with my low beams, they are Hella 90mm E-code projector modules with a very sharp cutoff.)
If I feel the need for DRL's and not headlights, I turn on the fogs, which I also rewired to come on indepently of main beams.
