Coming along....got them sand blasted today...just put a coat on. Letting it sit for a couple hours. BUT....somewhere between here and work I may have lost one of the torx bolts for the outside..(this project is CURSED) it may be at work and if not I have to get a new one..at $22 A PIECE. I am going to check Brafasco tomorrow though...I am pretty sure it is because it is aluminum...jesus...hopefully Brafasco will have something cheaper..I dont care if it is steel..it is coated anyway. They look great though....I may do the hood but not right now....

Default Hinges Bedlined....

Ok after a whack of messing around on this job, they are pretty much complete. Not mounted yet as I am waiting a solid 2 days before I do that so I dont screw up the finish while it is soft. Not to mention it looks like I may have lost a outer torx bolt so I need to get a replacement....dealer wants $22 FOR ONE bolt. Apparently aluminium is pricey...gouging pricks.

I will have more pics when they are mounted along with a write up I imagine.

This is about 3 coats of bedliner:

And did you ever want to see what is under your hinges? It certainly isnt paint...

Looks like they may have used some sort of glue....if you look at the drivers side (with the relocation bracket) you can see where I was a little too impatient with the razor blade and went past the hinge...dammit...that is when I should have realized the project was cursed. The passenger side (with mirror attached) I just pulled the hinge off without cutting with the blade...no damage to paint.

Tell me what you think guys.

That's a great idea. I've considered doing this already, but wasn't sure how smooth the doors would open and close. The rear hinges on mine are all beat to shit. It seems they're right in the way of all the rocks the front tires kick up. Good stuff, bro.

Just a thought, do you think the actual pin that sits in the hinge should have been done also? may make it super tight, and difficult to take doors off.
I guess you could always sand it off if it is.

Looks great though man, can't wait to see it on! This may be a project I tackle next spring!

edit: nevermind...looked at the pics again and see that you have tape over the pins...carry on soldier~!
