Default DW holy $hit

Well got death wobble today and let me tell you I've rolled my parents minivan going 110 on the hwy and that wasn't nearly close to how this made me feel. I was only going 20 on a really bad road on my way to work and she went nuts lucky for me their was no on coming traffic and no one behind me only lasted 20 seconds best thing to do is put her in neutral and brake to a stop. It appears to be tracbar related because everything else is tight and torqued to spec but the bushing axel side seems to be compressed and deformed will re install my oem one and test her out tomorrow morning. But guys I strongly suggest that we check our shit out because DW is one of the scariest and dangerous things I have ever experienced first hand.

Glad to hear that you're OK. Thanks for the heads-up. Had a worn trackbar busing (axle end) in the Fall - no DW, just very flighty steering.

Sorry for you Matt; I know what it is because I had DW many times on my old JK

If you re- install your oem tracbar, your axle won't be centered anymore with your 4" lift...

If I were you, I would check also your toe-in, caster, ball joints, pitman etc

Good luck

Well changed the t bar and re centered the steering wheel a lot better but I would say that the bushings were done on the axel side. I would say it is now a real bad shimmy brought to my neighbors dealership told them check
Balance
Ball joints
And my toe

I still have DW since Chertsey in Nov.. Dave and I went to the US yesterday to pick up some loot and as he was driving we hit a small hole on the drivers side about 60km and nuts it went.
I thought it was fixed after I had the wheels rebalanced last week and that took care of the wobble (so I thought). I peeled off a few weights up in "the Bob" and being statically balanced I couldn't see any missing.

Anyway glad you are OK Matt... I do know how scary it can be..

Zeb

That's the reason why I didn't put a 4" lift kit on my second JK.

4" is high, and the JK is more vulnerable to DW. Even more with 35" tires.

You can get dw on a stock jeep, this being said the bigger you go the more prone you become. My only recommendations are build her up tough.
