Even easier guys....strap some zip-ties around the hood latches.

Close the hood, latch the hood with the latches on each side, and strap on the zip ties. Works great.

I fortuneately dont have the "Hood Lift" issue, but I have seen the results of the zip-tie method.

I beleive Wraithy has it.

Zip ties look silly on the outside of the latches.

Besides, I wouldn't say that is easier that taking out the spring. It comes out without any tools, just give it a quarter twist (with your hand) and chuck it in the garbage. Takes 5 seconds literally.....doesn't get any easier than that.

I find it really strange that this isnt something they'd catch at the manufacturing and testing level.....

agreed....I understand minor flaws, especially in the first year of development for a new model....but even now I understand the 09's are still having the same issue
