I had doors and top off all last weekend, woke up saturday morning to a huge thunderstorm and it pouring rain out, jeep took it well seats were hardly even damp after an hour!!!

 

I had standing water in my Jeep. Came home, ripped out the carpet, and was about to pull the plug when the neighbor says

"why don't you just shop vac it out?"

Pulled the plug. My driveway is soaked! muwahahahahaahahahaha

Filled up the shop vac about halfway AFTER i pulled the plugs.

I think I may just rip the carpet out and install those. Any downside?

 

It gets hot on the kids bare feet in the back without the carpet, but besides that its all good, not that loud and you dont get the stinky wet sock smell

 

I have them in the front. They are great for the carpet but don't know how they would work on bare metal.

 

Wonder if the mopar liner would work better then?

 

I had husky liners on bare metal and they sucked. I sold them to Todd, and put in regular old rubber mats. I find them to be better.

 

what was bad about them?

 

They have little "grabbies" on the bottom for the carpet and a spot for the hook that is attached to the carpet. Without the stock carpeting they will slide around everywhere. I love them though, especially with my softtop leak...lol...
